"Bronze-gold. Quite evolved nose, orange and caramel. Lush and creamy, this has ample concentration and an almost peppery acidity. The wine is now mature and lacks some energy and drive, but it has complex flavours of oranges and crème brûlée, and satisfying length."
John Gilman, 90 Points
"The 1999 vintage of Suduiraut is now into its apogee of maturity and offers up a complex and stylish aromatic blend of peach, apricot, honey, orange zest, gentle spice tones, barley sugar and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and à point, with fine focus and mid-palate depth. The finish is long, reasonably crisp and well-balanced. A lovely drink and a very good result for the vintage."
Vinous, 90 Points
"The 1999 Suduiraut has an intense, slightly petrolly bouquet that in an odd way, feels as if it comes from an older era than succeeding vintages, which is true when you consider that Christian Seely took over in 2001. The palate is well balanced with plenty of mandarin, Clementine and quince."
