"Among all the exquisiteness and the fruity aromas that captivated my senses this year, this is by far the brightest in the nose. You can clearly distinguish in its rich bouquet of strawberry and raspberry, but also blackberry and sour cherry, blending in sublime sweetness and delicacy. Hints of rose and violet brings your olfactive senses at the highest and finest level. The silky tannins are smooth and intriguing and envelop any pungent expression of this wine. Clearly one of the best Italian red wines, a masterpiece of wine growing and wine-making." - Luca Maroni, I Migliori Vini Italiani
About the Varietal:
"Ruché: A Piedmontese secret. Ruché is a variety of Piedmont that has risen from virtual obscurity as a little-known, dark-skinned variety to having its own appellation, Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato. The appellation was elevated to DOCG status in 2011. Ruché wines can be characterized by their lightness in color and complex aromas – somewhat akin to the lauded Nebbiolo of the region. The similarities continue with Ruchè having fine but forceful tannins and good acidity to stimulate the palate."
Alcohol: 15%
