"A fragrant nose of red berries, mocha, tea leaves, baking spices and flowers. It’s medium-bodied, yet intense, with fine tannins. Balanced and harmonious, with a velvety texture and a finish with excellent length. Drinkable now, but give this time to develop in the bottle. One for the cellar. Better after 2025."

"The dark crimson 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione La Corte is forward with brooding aromas of tar, ripe black cherry, black licorice, and sage. More lifted on the palate than the nose would suggest, it’s medium to full-bodied, with a lift of tangy acidity, ripe tannins, and a more angular, ripe feel. The finish is savory with notes of orange and tea leaf. A robustly structured wine, it will do well over the next 6-7 years. Drink 2024-2030."
