"Some beeswax and savory, flinty undertones to the dried citrus fruit aromas. Walnuts, too. It's creamy and flavorful, with sleek bubbles and delicious umami nuances. Delicious finish. Chardonnay from Le Mesnil, Avize and Oger. Based on 2019, with 15% reserve wines from 2018 and 2017."

Beautifully charred citrus, gunflint and sourdough aromas frame a gently persistent palate of ripe, juicy lemon and pear, drawn with unusual length and finesse. With just 10% reserve wine, the emphasis here is on brightness and energy. This score is for the magnum format. Only a few are made but the added quality represents fantastic value."

"Brighter, zippier and more explosive than previous releases, the NV Brut Blanc de Blancs is immediately impressive with bright citrus tones that erupt from the glass. Medium-bodied, the palate shows immaculate precision and finesse, with succulent layers of citrus, green apples and lemon skin. A soft, nutty essence then appears from its 45 months on the lees. The wine continues to make me salivate, bringing me back for more and has me craving freshly shucked oysters and cheeses."

"A graceful Champagne, with fine length and focus. There’s a creamy plushness to the finely detailed mousse, which carries flavors of baked white cherry, poached apricot, candied lemon peel, brioche and ginger as they expand on the palate and through the well-cut, lasting finish."

"The NV Champagne Blanc De Blancs is based on 80% 2017, with 20% reserve wine (a larger percentage that Delamotte has been using over the past several years due to climate change). The wine comes from the three villages of Avize, Oger, and Mesnil sur Oger and pours a pale but bright yellow hue. Expressive on opening, floral aromas as well as notes of poached pear, fresh honeysuckle, almond, and lemon sherbet lift from the glass. Medium-bodied, with a refined mousse, it has even acidity through the palate and has a chalky texture, with a good linear drive through the finish. With 7 grams per liter dosage, it’s attractively balanced and rounds out the palate in a lovely way."
