"Very pretty, perfumed red with roses and plums and a hint of lemon rind. Full body. Firm, chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows focus and firmness. Drink after 2021." 

"Underbrush, espresso, toasted hazelnut and French oak aromas come to the forefront. The assertive palate reflects the nose, offering oak, spearmint, licorice, orange zest and dried cherry alongside tight, close-grained tannins and firm acidity. A hint of sage closes the somewhat astringent finish. Give this time to unwind." 

Winemaker Notes: 

"On the nose the wine is lightly nutty, peppery, spicy and tarry scent of ripe black and red berries with a little undergrowth, dried herbs, tobacco and licorice. On the palate, it is ripe, firm, tart fruit, nutty, slightly woody with tobacco aromas, and again shows a hint of peppery spice. There is a presence of fine sandy tannins, some bite, and the wine is persistent and full-bodied, very good with a tart slightly salty finish."
