"We’ve all imagined (or will imagine) at some point, climbing aboard a caravel, a sailing ship or a transatlantic liner to sail west on the ocean waves. Enlivened by this “nuevo” sentiment, we resolved to create a Spanish style rum, with the burning passion of the tales of Don Quixote and the raucousness of Pamplona during the festival. The opulently scented bouquet is dominated by hints of tropical plants and fruits. The first whiff on the nose brings an immediate, powerful punch of molasses. The glass then gradually reveals a powerful body, with good structure propped up by a round, enveloping flavour. The aromatic finish veers towards scents of tobacco, vanilla and liquorice."
