Distiller Notes:  

"Eifel Whisky’s 2021 bottling of their German Single Malt Whisky was increased to 300 cases from their standard 200 case bottling.

Unfortunately, future releases will return to the 200 case level. Distillation was done in the German tradition: a primary distillation in a column still (including the grist), followed by a second distillation in a small copper pot still. The alcohol content was reduced to 60% before entering casks. The spirit was first aged for at least 4 years in ex-Bordeaux American oak casks before spending another 4+ years in 1st and 2nd fill Cream Sherry casks.

This release is a blend of 8-9 year old whiskies that were distilled in 2012 and 2013."

Tasting Notes: 

Nose: "Aromas of Black Forest gateaux, Nutella, sesame bars, freshly ground spices, dunnage floors, and tobacco."

Palate: "It's a brooding, serious whisky with flavors of toffee, dark fruit, treacle sponge, pepper, spices, and leather, with a deep well of black currant, bramble and black cherry flavors."  

Alcohol: 46%
