"Delving even deeper into the roots of tequila’s early production, Amatiteña ‘Origen’ offers an example of their historical, estate-grown tequila at a notably higher (and more traditional) ABV. Leaping up from a sturdy 42% to a racy 49%, ‘Origen’ doubles down on some of the richest notes of the core blanco, while highlighting some subtler notes of tropical fruit and star anise which are easy to overlook at 84 proof, but hard to ignore at 98."
