"Grown on volcanic slopes at 200-250 metres near the town of Cori, southeast of Rome, this is a lovely example of the rare white Bellone grape variety, known as the 'bread grape' in ancient times for its soft and delicate skin. Aromas and flavors of Granny Smith contrast with almond and pear tart, combining juicy freshness with a dry, savory lingering finish." 

Winemaker Notes: 

"Named ‘Castore’ after the mythical twins Castor and Pollux, the archeological remains of their temple enrich Cori’s heritage. Made entirely from Bellone, “is an outstanding grape variety, one of the best in Italy today…The wine has a telltale luscious texture and juicy acidity…and delightful honeyed, citrus, and tropical fruit aromas and flavors.”
