"The 2023 Auxey-Duresses Blanc comes from three parcels. It has a focused, mineral-driven bouquet, quite Puligny-like in style. The palate is very well balanced with palpable energy and admirable weight countered by a keen line of acidity and a dash of lemongrass on the pithy finish. Who said Auxey-Duresses Blanc could not make a wonderful wine?"

"From Les Hautés and Les Fosses. Clear pale colour. The nose is quite restrained but the wine kicks on very well on the palate, with a racy white fruit including some ripe citrus, balanced acidity and good length. Drink from 2027-2030. Tasted Oct 2024."

"Smoky reduction is sufficiently prominent to overshadow the fruit today. Otherwise, there is good punch and concentration to the generously proportioned and sappy flavors that retain good delineation on the lightly stony and youthfully austere finale. This well-balanced effort is both delicious and refreshing and a wine that should drink well young and with mid-term cellaring."
