"Even Jacques Carillon’s 2022 Puligny villages bottling is going to need a few years in the cellar before it starts to drink with generosity, but it is going to be a lovely wine once it has blossomed. The bouquet is bright and pure, offering up scents of apple, pear, chalky minerality, spring flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still fairly buttoned up behind its acidity today, with a fine core of fruit, good soil signature and grip and a long, snappy finish. The expression of minerality here has an almost salty aspect to it that bodes very well for this wine’s development."

"A light green streak in the pale colour. The refinement and the precision set this apart from 2023. The fruit remains discreet, with some fresh apple on the palate, certainly more backward, yet promising for the future thanks to the persistence."

"(from 11 different parcels in 7 lieux-dits scattered about Puligny with an overall average vine age of approximately 40+ years). Pretty, cool and airy aromas of apple, pear, acacia and a whiff of lemon are complemented by delicious and beautifully textured middleweight flavors that possess fine volume, all wrapped in a youthfully austere, clean, dry and well-balanced finale. This is a lovely Puligny villages and worth considering. Drink: 2028+."
