"The Monts Damnes vineyard is a famous lieu-dit in Chavignol. Pascal owns 1.5 hectares in the higher parts, facing due north, and the vines are around 35 years-old. Fermented in old oak barrels, this wine always shows hints of gun flint and chalk on the nose with distinct pear and smoky notes. Lush and complex with a slight amount of residual sugar to round off the finish."
