"Typically the last parcel to be picked by Cotat, the 2022 Cut de Beaujeu is a welcoming, open style.  The merest hint of residual sugar (3g/l) is part of the roundness on the palate, but it’s not sweet, merely smoothing out its core.  There’s a delicate fragrance of nectarine and florals with a touch of honey on the medium-length finish."

"The family purchased their parcel in ‘Culs de Beaujeu’ just after the second world war, and it was winemaker Francois Cotat’s great-grandfather who planted it himself. Facing northwest, ‘Culs’ is a cooler site, delivering a Cotat Sancerre with all its characteristic depth and vibrancy with an added edge of cool white fruits and stony persistence.  Aromas of stone fruits, light herbs, crushed stones. Textured, supple; flavors of tangy lemon, white peach. Light peppery finish."
