"The 2021 Chablis Les Fourneaux 1er Cru has a superb bouquet with scents of dried honey, wax resin and flinty aromas, powerful and very well focused. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, lovely salinity lending tension and persistence on the finish. As good a Fourneaux as you will find. Drink: 2024-2040."

"Côte de Pre-Girots. Pale lemon colour, the bouquet is not quite so fine as Vaillons but has class nonetheless. Fresh crisp white fruit with just a few mirabelles showing alongside. A softer finish but still with some clean kimmeridgian touches to finish. Indeed, the finish as well as being long has the classical style of Chablis. Drink from 2024-2028. (Jun 2022)"

"(from Côte de Près Girots and Morein). A classic Fourneaux nose freely offers up slightly riper yet cool aromas of citrus peel, wet stone, iodine and green apple. The racy, dense and powerful if less refined medium-weight flavors possess excellent punch and minerality on the mildly austere finale. This opulent and slightly rustic effort will also need to develop better depth with time in bottle. Drink: 2029+. (Oct 2022)"
