"The 2021 Clos-de-la-Roche Grand Cru has a very focused, mineral-rich bouquet with intense red fruit laced with rose petal, blood oranges and graphite (though this ebbs with aeration). The palate is medium-bodied with fine, saturated tannins, impressive density, very minerally with superb transparency towards the linear finish. Wonderful. Drink 2026-2050."

"Although the vines of Clos de la Roche suffered from the frost, the results were particularly delicious, with bright red and black fruit and notes of lavender and spice. The wine shows admirable energy and an almost saline minerality on the palate. There is tension and freshness, pleasantly ripe fruit, and rewarding density. The complex interplay of flavours on the palate is superb. Wait five years before opening this; it should last another twenty beyond that. Drink 2027-2050."

"Bright red, lightly volatile nose. A touch of menthol and a bit of oak. Some tannins at the back, medium bodied, one of the cuvées which is not quite together, slightly fluid fruit. Pretty and slightly savoury red fruit turns up at the back. Half a crop. Drink from 2029-2036."
