Vinous, 91 Points 

"Saturated ruby.  Rather wild aromas of cassis, black raspberry, flint and game.  The surprisingly suave and sweet in the mouth for the vintage, with good stuffing to the black fruit and violet flavors.  Finishes with broad, building, fine-grained tannins and very good length.  Philippe Melka calls this a “powerful, rustic Old World style of wine” but this 2011 struck me as rather refined.  Owner Lawrence Fairchild owns a small parcel above Lake Hennessy and will produce his first Pritchard Hill wine from the 2013 vintage.  He also has contracts with several other high-quality sites, so this is clearly a label to follow."
