2022 Mill Creek Dry Creek Valley Chardonnay

Winemaker Notes: 

"This Chardonnay begins with notes of apple and mineral. Following flavors are bright, crisp apple, mineral and mandarin orange with a hint of pear. The finish is lingering apple and mineral. This Chardonnay is very lightly oaked, so enjoy with lighter dishes such as; white fishes, chicken in a white wine or citrus sauce. It would also be a perfect aperitif." 

Winemaking: 

"The grapes for our Chardonnay come exclusively from our 65 acre estate in the Dry Creek Valley. The location is influenced by the cool fog from the Russian River Valley and the daytime heat of Dry Creek Valley.  Sustainable practices are utilized to minimize environmental impact.  The grapes were picked early in the morning on September 4th and 5th at cool temperatures which preserves fruit aromas and flavors. Being so close to our vineyards, we have the luxury of being able to crush our fruit within minutes of harvest. Fermentation, using Cross Evolution Yeast, is conducted half in stainless steel between 60 and 66F and half in neutral oak. Seventy five percent of the total lot went through Malolactic Fermentation."
