Bottle Barn Barrel Select

 Back in 2016 Maker’s Mark started a unique single barrel program that allowed the customer to craft their own version of Maker’s. Select accounts were given the opportunity to choose up to 10 oak finishing staves, which would be added to an extra-long aged, cask strength barrel of Maker’s Mark. Bottle Barn was lucky enough to be one of the first accounts to take part in this process. We flew down to Kentucky and after some trial and error, we came up with our blend. The resulting whiskey was one of our favorite single barrel selections. Well, here we are 7 years later, and we have made another selection.

Edition 3 was bottled at 109.8 proof. It has a nice balance of bright cherry and vanilla to go along with warm, toasty oak. As the whiskey sits in a glass the flavors develop and become richer and more developed. Vanilla and creamy notes take over the bright fruit. A drop of water really helps pull this bourbon together.
