This one is a monster! 134 proof but unbelievably drinkable. 8 to 10 years seems to be a sweet spot for Elijah Craig for me. This bourbon is so good even at the high proof. The texture is big and bold but smooth and the flavors are all in balance. This whiskey can take a touch of water to help cool some of the spiciness without watering it down. Another Elijah Craig Barrel Proof that I am in love with. This will be my obsession for a while!

Taste: Coats the mouth with richness. vanilla, oak and cherry. Big hit of spice. Warm long finish. Touch of water brings out an oiliness and creaminess.
