Brassfield Estate Winery was born of a vision to produce distinctive, terroir-driven wines from one of California's most interesting regions.  They make 100% estate grown, produced and bottled wines.  Brassfield is recognized as one of the most successful rising voices in Northern California and a passionate ambassador of the stunning High Valley AVA in Lake County.  The volcanic soil of Lake County's High Valley is well suited to producing delicious Cabernet Sauvignon.  Sitting directly above Napa, Lake County is the next big wine region and has even attracted the attention of one of Napa's biggest names.  Andy Beckstoffer farms one of the most exclusive and sought-after vineyards in Napa and Cabs produced from his vineyard in Napa cost about $500.  Beckstoffer has purchased vineyards in Lake County and declared it an up-and-coming Cabernet country.  He noted the parallels between Napa Valley in the 1970s and Lake County today and considers it an incredible opportunity for growing premium Cabernet.  The 2021 Brassfield Estate Winery Cabernet Sauvignon is immediately appealing with aromatic waves of anise, mocha and brambly blackberries.  It has layered and elegant fruit that explodes on the palate with structured, gripping tannins.  This Cabernet is sophisticated with a long, satisfying finish.  It has notes of blueberry, black plums, cassis, violet, citrus zest, dried herbs, dark chocolate, toasty oak and black truffle.  Enjoy!
