"A more citrus-suffused nose speaks of green apple, sea breeze and algae hints along with a hint of crushed anise. The rich, full-bodied and very generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors exude evident minerality on the nicely dry, moderately austere and focused finale. This lovely effort is built to reward up to a decade of improvement, yet it should also be reasonably approachable young if desired. This is, in a word, terrific. Buy this as well." 

Vinous, 93 Points 

"The 2022 Chablis Vosgros 1er Cru has a wonderful delineated nose with peach skin, nectarine, Vervane flowers and lanolin, opening up with gusto in the glass.  The palate is well balanced with a spicier opening than expected, a dash of ginger and white pepper, though very subtle.  Quite a resinous Chablis in texture with a persistent finish.  Excellent, but not a Chablis for everyone." 

Winemaker Notes: 

"This wine has a textured plumpness overlying its racy acidity. Full-bodied and satiny with a core of crisp orchard fruit.  The Picqs have two parcels here totaling 3.5 acres. The larger of the two was planted in the 1960s; the smaller (half the size) was planted in the early 1980s, and both parcels face southwest. Vosgros is on the left bank. Its soil is brown marl limestone, and its wine, young, has a textured plumpness overlying its racy acidity."
