"Amélie Berthaut farms a large parcel of Pinot in Concoeur in the heights above Nuits-St-Georges, where she produces this lovely wine that shows great purity of cherry and rose petal-scented fruit. The grapes are destemmed and fermented in concrete before a short maturation in wood (one third in cask, two-thirds in foudre) for less than a year to produce this perfumed, elegant wine that is more about finesse than power."
