"Hagel is a lieu-dit in an elevated site on a tongue of gneiss that descends from the Vosges.  It is terraced and steep.  The 2020 Riesling’s nose shimmers with orange and tangerine notes, backed bye a lovely tinge of earthy dried yarrow.  The palate is full and generous but absolutely streamlined, energetic, stony and still brimming with ripe citrus notions.  Here, the pithiness of citrus is almost overtaken by a lemon oil sinuousness.  The finish is bone-dry and stony."
