"Racy and refreshing, with a pronounced lemony character, plus mineral and flint on the nose, while the palate shows pleasant freshness and depth of flavor. This site is a 1.38ha parcel in clay and marl soils, with a direct southern exposition, and half of it is planted to 90-year-old vines. Unfortunately this plot suffered greatly from the frost in 2019 and only 1,300L of wine was produced from the entire site."

"A unique, south-facing vineyard in which a majority of vines are 100 years old or older, ‘Le Clos des Charmes’ is more than charming; it’s a piece of both Vergisson history and Forest family lore. As a monopole (a vineyard owned by just one tenant), ‘Le Clos’ holds a special place in Forest’s portfolio. A rich, vibrant and textured white Burgundy wine.  Aromas of white and yellow fruit, beeswax, brown spices. Rich and vibrant, with wonderful volume in the mouth."
