None of that here with intense red cherry, red plum and cranberry wrapped around an earthy core. Firm rounded tannins and enticing minerality provide an elegant structure. The use of oak is so subtle and well managed."

"Richer style of Pinot Noir, with a deep well of black cherry and violet notes at the core, while the frame is decorated with forest floor and loam. Tannins, although firm, are nicely integrated and together with acidity give this support and form good structure."

"The 2018 Pinot Noir Schweigen was aged in small barrique and has an earthy overtone that segues onto toasty oak with gentle milkiness.  The palate carries over that lactic note and then plunges into bold, dense, fine but still furry tannin, slightly astringent.  The mid-palate shows fine and fresh forest fruit, blending dark and red berries.  The finish is smooth and fresh, and the heat of 2018 is not apparent.  This is a big, bold wine.  (Bone-dry)"

"Pleasant, clear ruby red with dark reflections. In the nose flavours of blackberries, tobacco, spices and vanilla notes. On the palate dense, elegant with good length and structure."
