Robin Daniel Lail is considered Napa royalty.  She is the great-grandniece of Gustave Niebaum who founded Inglenook Winery.  She was mentored by Robert Mondavi and co-founded Dominus with Christian Moueix and then Merryvale Vineyard with Bill Harlan.  In 1995, she founded Lail Vineyards with her two daughters.  Robin Lail was the first person to hire Philippe Melka as a consultant and Melka has been the winemaker at Lail since its founding.  Philippe Melka is considered a 100-Point legend in Napa and the wines he touches turn to gold.  Wine Advocate called Melka "one of the Top 10 Winemakers in the World".  Lail Vineyards produces the highest quality wines from Napa Valley.  They make wines of extraordinary elegance and brilliance.  The 2023 Lail Vineyards Blueprint Sauvignon Blanc is a perennial stunner and one of Napa's classic white wines.  It's a gorgeous, layered wine.  The texture is creamy and complex with amazing crispness, bold acidity and exciting fruit flavors.  It's snappy, vivid, zippy and spirited.  This Sauvignon Blanc has flavors of guava, apricot, grapefruit, green apple, vanilla, lemon, white flowers, orange oil, sea salt, fresh ginger and beeswax.  It's aromatic, stylish and energetic.  It's balanced with bright, citrusy notes on the long, lingering finish.  This wine is outstanding and beautiful with excellent depth and density.  Enjoy!
