"The 2023 Grechetto entices with a savory bouquet of crushed stones, salty sea air lime zest and green apples. It is nearly oily in texture, with zesty acidity to balance and ripe tropical fruits swirling throughout. It finishes structured and with a lemony concentration, leaving hints of sour melon and spice to linger on. Wow, this Grechetto packs a serious punch. The complexity within can be better understood when considering that it hails from 78-year-old vines." 

Winemaker Notes: 

"Grechetto, an Italian white wine grape variety with Greek origins, is known for its thick skins, which provide good disease resistance and allow for the production of beautiful orange-colored skin contact wines. The grape variety is commonly grown in Umbria, a region in central Italy characterized by lush rolling hills, picturesque hilltop villages, and iconic historic towns. 

Grechetto wines typically display a straw yellow color. The bouquet is dominated by notes of white and yellow flowers, with persistent citrus, pear, and peach aromas. On the palate, the wine is soft and persistent. Grechetto wines pair well with a variety of dishes, including aperitifs, starters, fish, white meat, and soft or medium-aged cheeses. For optimal enjoyment, Grechetto wines should be served chilled at a temperature of 8-10°C (46-50°F)."
