James Suckling, 93 Points
"A fragrant nose of cherries, cola, dried flowers and sweet oak. Medium-to full-bodied with sleek tannins and fresh acidity. Velvety and vibrant with a succulent, fruity finish and excellent length. Drink now or hold."
Jeb Dunnuck, 90 Points
"Coming from a site in the Russian River Valley, the 2019 Pinot Noir Martaella Vineyard has a rich, more savory style in its ripe red plum and darker cherry fruits as well as notes of scorched earth, leather, and Asian spices. Nicely textured as well as structured on the palate, it has notable overall balance and solid length on the finish. It should easily evolve for 4-5 years."
Winemaker Notes:
"Our second vintage of “Martaella Vineyard” differs from the 2018 with the addition of a second clone from this beautifully managed site. Dijon 943 and UCD 90 are combined in the 2019 for an intense and structured wine. We don’t think it’s necessary to wait – but drink now through 2039."
Alcohol: 14%
