From the Importer:
"This Silvaner has an intense bouquet and a full body. At the moment it is still a bit closed in taste, but already presents an astonishing range of flavors. Fine hints of yellow fruits, spicy aroma and a clear and distinctive mineral tone, very typical for our Silvaners, making this wine an indulgence."
From the Winery:
"The Hans Wirsching wine estate is one of the most traditional and renowned estates in Franconia. Our family has been growing grapes for several centuries. Currently, Andrea Wirsching and the senior boss Dr. Heinrich Wirsching manage the estate. On 90 hectares in and around Iphofen, we produce mainly dry white wines – that is our specialty. The most important grape varieties are Silvaner, Riesling, Scheurebe, and white Pinot varieties (Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris). About 15% of the wines are red, and we place particular emphasis on Pinot Noir. Our vineyards and soils are the basis for ensuring that future generations will also grow wine successfully in Iphofen. That is why sustainability is the most crucial goal in all our decisions. Even for our 30 employees, most of whom spend their entire working lives with us."
