"The 2022 Chardonnay 3D comes from a sandy, 10-acre vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and was brought up all in neutral oak. Its medium gold hue is followed by a ripe, exotic perfume of honeyed stone fruits, orange blossom, chalk, flower oil, and brioche-like nuances. This beauty is medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and incredibly textured on the palate, with nicely integrated acidity, terrific mid-palate depth, and a finish that won't quit. Don't miss this beauty."

"A voluptiously textured Chardonnay from the 4ha site in the Sta Rita Hills, this Chardonnay is comprised of five clones, including the California classics, Hyde, Wente and Mount Eden. The aromatics are rich, as seaspray plays along with lemon verbena and lemon oil. On the palate, a briny note of ocean air cuts across the rich texture as flavours of green mangoes, honeyed apricots and roasted almonds all vie for your attention."

While this is passionately well-made, I can't help but gravitate toward the more chiseled bottlings in the lineup."
