The unique combination of calcareous soils, cool coastal influences, and warm Mediterranean sun create a distinct terroir for this region. While known for its sparkling wines, projects like this one are redefining the region by focusing on the grapes and terroir first, rather than wine styles. The backbone of this wine is provided by Xarel-lo, with its bright citrus notes and saline minerality, while Malvasia de Sitges adds texture and exotic fruit flavors."
