Winemaker Notes: 

"Native to Sicily, Catarratto is the most widely planted variety on the island. It is grown everywhere on Sicily, from the hot, coastal vineyards at the western end of the island to the cooler slopes of Mt. Etna in the east, where it is blended with Carricante to make Etna Bianco. 

Catarratto, like Nero d’Avola, exhibits a variety of flavors that depend on growing conditions and winemaking decisions, ranging from heady tropical characteristics that are reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc to citrus fruit and floral flavors of grapefruit and lemon blossom. At its best, it can be both rich and crystalline at the same time."
