"This is a great display of cool-climate Syrah in a region that doesn't grow a ton of it. Dark purple fruit and warm pastry aromas are lifted by violet and pepper on the nose. The palate is layered in pepper, rosemary and smashed berry flavors, with a firm tension wrapping it all up."

"The 2023 Syrah Whole-Cluster comes from a small, newly-planted plot at elevation in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Vibrant berry fruit rushes from the glass, braced by tons of dusty, white pepper-like tannins. This wears its 100% whole clusters so well. Long and dripping with blue fruit on the finish, this is a uniquely compelling wine from six-year-old vines."

"The whole cluster really dominates this Syrah from the Santa Cruz site, Tasona Nafre Vineyard. Effusive aromas of dried florals, wild herbs and pepper, along with dark black olives in brine. The palate shows turned earth, mushrooms, and an array of briny roast nori and smoky soy sauce. Depth and richness galore. It finishes quite tannic and taut, showing just a touch of rusticity."
