Winemaker Notes: 

"41 year old vines head-trained and dry-farmed in Franciscan shale at 1,400’ in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Saratoga. Fermented 100% whole cluster with native yeast, and basket pressed to neutral French oak barrels and aged for 10 months.

The hardy nature of this rugged, low-yielding mountain vineyard bears fruit with generous flavor, color and structure. The 2020 sings with hallmark aromas of native chaparral and baking spices and follows through with bright flavors of zesty Rainier cherry underpinned by deep earthy minerality."
