2021 Arnot-Roberts Trout Gulch Vineyard Chardonnay

"The 2020 Chardonnay Trout Gulch Vineyard is laser focused and vibrant, as it is in its best years. Crushed rocks, mint, white pepper, lemon peel and white flowers all race out of the glass. Bright saline notes extend the finish effortlessly. The 2020 is very nicely done, and also a great example of this Santa Cruz Mountains site. Best after 2022." 

Winemaker Notes: 

"From dry farmed vines of old Wente clone, planted in 1980 and grown in sandy loam 3.5 miles from the Pacific Ocean near the town of Aptos in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA. The grapes were whole cluster pressed, fermented in stainless steel by native yeasts, and aged in neutral French oak barrels."
