"This vintage is explosive. At release, this wine is showing an incredible array of potpourri aromatics; dried roses, pomegranate, myrrh, frankincense, and lava rock. This wine is compact, with gorgeous layers of dark fruit flavors, and dusty tannins. Sagrantino is one of the most ancient of the European wine grapes. It was the main grape that was used in the production of sacramental wines for centuries. Grown on the edge of the Columbia Gorge, this wine shows exceptional promise. This wine continues to evolve in bottle and will benefit from continued cellaring."
