"From the iconic Frog's Leap winery's dry-farmed estate in Rutherford, aged 20 months in 5-year-old oak barrels. Absolutely beautiful aromas of dried thyme, sage, fennel, spearmint, and savoury black olive notes. Medium-bodied with the rustic, dusty tannins you'd expect from these Rutherford vines with a harmonious display of brambly cranberry, raspberry, and black cherry laced with vanilla and tobacco spices. Just lovely."

"Aromas of crushed herbs, sliced plums, blackcurrants and violets. Full-bodied with powdery tannins. Bright acidity pairs nicely with the fresh red fruit on the palate. Could use another year to come together."
Jancis Robinson,
"Full bottle just 1,278 g. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, dry-farmed organically on their three estate vineyards. Aged 20 months in new to 5-year-old French oak barrels (no more than 10% new oak). Proudly Rutherford and inspired by the yesteryear greats of there. Deep crimson. Lots of life on the nose and a refreshing, dry (= not sweet) change from the Davies wines. Still quite youthful and agreeably, obviously not wearing make-up. An honest wine that's as good a Cabernet Sauvignon as I've had from this address. Tannins are undisguised. No airs and graces. Well done!"
