Wrath Wines is one Santa Lucia Highlands' most celebrated artisan, boutique wineries.  Founded in 2007, the winery harnesses the 'wrath' of nature to produce award-winning, site-driven wines with an undeniable respect for terroir and land.  Wrath is a small operation that has received large accolades for its vintages.  Their wines top critics lists and have received consistently high scores of 90+ Points from critics.  Decanter even named them one of the Top 10 Central Coast Wineries, describing Wrath wines as "concentrated and serious, showing a deeply fruity and complex spiciness."  Vinous wrote they produce "top-notch, finely etched wines. . . and recent vintages have witnessed an increasing upward climb in quality."  Critics frequently describe Wrath wines as "opulent, gorgeous and lush".  They specialize in small-lot production of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc.  Wrath's production is small and the distribution is limited with most of the wine sold primarily through their mailing list.  They've acquired a devout following of fans over the years.  The 2021 Wrath Swan/828 Pinot Noir is nimble, pure and elegant.  The palate is tense and complex with an earthy nose.  It's balanced and structured.  This Pinot has flavors of cranberry sauce, dark cherry, strawberry, cherry cola, toasted herbs, crushed rocks, peppery spices and forest floor.  It has a long, clean finish with a touch of mineral.  Enjoy!

"This clonal blend uses all estate grown grapes.  It combines dark cherry, raspberries and a touch of earthiness on the nose.  The palate offers a balance of structure and acidity that compliments elegant, focused red berry and cherry cola with a hint of forest floor.  Nimble and pure, it terminates with a long clean finish that is enhanced with a touch of mineral."
