"One of the highlights of the range this year is the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Cherbaudes, a lovely wine that exhibits notes of plums, raspberries, peonies, orange rind and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and charming, with powdery tannins and a saline finish, it's the finest rendition of this site that I can remember tasting chez Fourrier."

"The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Cherbaudes 1er Cru has an almost Morey-like personality on the nose: dark berry fruit, granitic scents, touches of forest floor and wild mushroom. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, clean and crisp, not a powerful Gevrey-Chambertin, but precise and quite pixelated towards the finish. Give this 4-6 years in bottle."

"This is aromatically similar to the Clos Sorbé but here the earth component is more prominent. There is more volume, richness and power to the suave and seductive middle weight plus flavors that possess very good mid-palate density before culminating in a balanced, complex and sneaky long finish. Lovely and a wine that should repay a decade plus of keeping."
