"In 2021, Angela included additions of Malvasia and Canaiolo for the first time – but representing less than 1% of the blend. Angela's aim for this Chianti Classico is to ‘obtain a wine that is fresh and drinkable.’ The grapes are sourced from the estate's various vineyards in Radda and Gaiole, with each parcel vinified separately in concrete or stainless steel. The wine then matures for 12 months in large Austrian and Slavonian oak casks and barrels, with a portion in concrete. Bright and fresh, this is full of juicy black and red hedgerow berries, with fine, sandy and well integrated tannins, and a lovely wash of energising acidity."

"A youthful ruby hue, the 2021 Chianti Classico is fresh with aromas of wet asphalt, cracked pepper, fresh black raspberry, and violets. Medium-bodied, it has wonderful lift, with ultra-fine tannins and a clean, stony finish. This gorgeous entry wine is approachable and drinking beautifully now and will dink well over the next 5-7 years. It’s sure to disappear quickly whether you drink it on its own or at the table."
