2023 Birdhorse Heliotropes

Winemaker Notes: 

"This wine is composed of 95% Cinsault and 5% Carignan grapes from the Red volcanic soils in El Dorado County, grown on a South facing slope. During fermentation, 30% of the grapes were kept as whole clusters and fermented in an anaerobic environment inside bags. After 6 months, the wine was transferred to neutral oak barrels before bottling. The name, "Heliotropes", is derived from the phenomenon of heliotropism, where plants turn towards the sun to redistribute their phytohormones."
