James Suckling, 97 Points
"A well-composed, velvety and vivid Cornas with brightness and purity. Aromas of dark cherries, currants, wild herbs, graphite and black pepper. Medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Good concentration with precise fruit and a constant mineral edge. The peppercorn and stone character brings freshness and verve to the energetic mid-palate. It's vibrant and vertical with a lot of tension in the long, textured and spicy finish. Try after 2027."
Vinous, 93-95 Points
"The broad-shouldered 2022 Cornas Granit 60 offers pronounced intensity of spice-box, cured meat, blackberry jam, cedarwood and wet tea bag alongside crushed violets and iodine subtleties. Full-bodied, concentrated and framed by a massive tannic core, the 2022 concludes with persistence on the expansive finish. Very promising."
Decanter, 94 Points
"Some welcome ripeness to the blackberry fruit here. Soft and juicy, with a velvety touch on the mid-palate. More generous alcohol than most, and balanced acidity, leading to a long, juicy finish. Much better than most 2022 Cornas, this has depth and ripeness. 50-year-old vines, 30% whole bunch, natural yeasts and no new oak."
Jeb Dunnuck, 92-94 Points
"Fermented with 30% whole clusters and brought up in used barrel, the 2022 Cornas Granit 60 is lifted and vibrant, with cassis and some candied blue fruits as well as fresh thyme, bouquet garni, pepper, and liquid violet-driven aromatics. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced, with the vintage's ripe yet still fresh style, it should benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and have 15 years of overall longevity."
