2021 Joh. Jos. Prum Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett [WA92][WE91]

"The 2021 Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett is clear, bright and deep on the finely flinty, well-concentrated and aromatic nose with its delicate slate perfume. Lush and fresh on the palate, with savory acidity and mineral grip as well as lovely citrus flavors toward the finish, this is a light, saline and crystalline, stimulating and grippy Kabinett with an intense, almost dry and mouth-watering finish. A classic." 

Apricot, nectarine and elderflower aromas and flavors mark this feathery white, which does show a lot of substance that is backed by firm acidity. The mineral backbone doesn't reveal itself until the lingering, stoney finish. This needs a few more years to fully shine. Best from 2025–2035.
