Jasper Morris, 92-95 Points
"Planted between 1936 and 1952 for the most part. A noble crimson purple colour with an exceptionally fine red fruit bouquet. A salinity at the back along with pepper that suggests (non-existent) stems. Very long fine and graceful. Perfect balancing acidity. Drink from 2027-2035."

"The blended premier cru ‘Vieilles Vignes’ at Hubert Lignier is always the last wine tasted before the grand crus. The grapes come from eighty-year-old vines in the lieu-dit Les Faconnières that run down into the next lieu-dit downslope called Les Chenevery. Both are below Clos de la Roche; Laurent Lignier calls the wine his ‘little Clos de la Roche’. The wine shows ripe plummy fruit with a firm underpinning of earth, mineral, smoke and cigar leaf. The texture is tannic and dense, and the length is impressive. Drink 2027-2045."
Burghound, 91-93 Points
"A distinctly earthy and very fresh nose offers up its aromas of just picked wild cherry and pretty floral wisps. There is excellent intensity to the larger-scaled and denser medium weight flavors that exhibit ample minerality on the powerful, compact and serious finale. This balanced effort also has a superb aging track record and seems considerably more promising in this respect compared to the Chaffots. Drink 2033+."
