"This is showing aromas of cherries, green olives, strawberries, watermelon and some cocoa powder. Medium-bodied, with more powdery tannins and a savory finish full of flavor. From organically grown grapes. Drink now or hold."
Winemaker Notes:
"This Marsannay Les Longeroies vineyard spans over 3.2 acres and is the largest of the Marsannay lieux-dits. It is located halfway up the hill and south of Clos du Roy. It is an old vineyard that belonged to the Duke of Burgundy whose wine was destined for the royal court, and from which its name is derived "Longe - roi" (bordering the king). The vines are around 45 years old. The destemmed grapes were macerated and fermented for 15 days, then transferred to 20% new oak barrels to age for 12 months and six months in tanks. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration."
Alcohol: 13%
