Winemaker Notes: 

"This inky Portuguese grape is more commonly used to make ports. However, this dry version of this varietal elevates it to a delightful and complex table wine. Upon uncorking, do not be deterred by the pungent truffle-forest floor aroma. Within minutes, this resolves into a pleasant fruit-cardamon interplay. The promise is fulfilled once in the mouth, where the imbiber is treated to diverse flavors of blueberry, mulberry, dark chocolate and spice. It finishes with firm tannins and a tingling acidity that beckons the gourmand. Keep your Sezão happy with mouthfuls of paella with saffron and spicy sausage, sardines, caramelized onion, mushroom risotto, grilled eggplant and cheese curd."
