"The 2022 Chardonnay Beaumont is salty, and the wine is strict but round, with the ripeness of the year. All the Chardonnays are around 13.5% alcohol. This is also on gray marl soils with less clay, and the slope is more pronounced than in the Sous Roche. It's fine-boned, with a fine thread, textured and long, very clean and precise. 1,000 bottles. It was bottled in January 2025 after 30 months in cask."

"Prominent lemon zest, yellow apple, dried chamomile and a pinch of saffron mark the entry the 2022 Cotes du Jura Chardonnay Beaumont.  Pastry and hay add more complexity.  Perfumed and expressive, the 2022 holds a slight edge over the 2020 I tasted last year, delivering solar-vintage generosity while remaining finely balanced by decisive acidity.  A hint of lemon tart lingers on the long finish.  Readers should note that no Chardonnay Beaumont was produced in 2021, as all the grapes went into the Mes six terrors that year."
