"The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet La Romanee 1er Cru has a precise bouquet with crushed limestone and sea cave scents intermingling with orange pith and lemon zest.  The palate is very well-balanced with impressive concentration, slightly honeyed on the mid-palate with a persistent finish.  This represents a finely-tuned Chassagne-Montrachet with power in reserve." 

Winemaker Notes:   

"Archaeological findings confirm the ancient village of Chassagne used to be occupied by a Roman society. The Romans planted the vines and built the city, hence the name “Romanée.” From a 0.81 hectare parcel of vines planted in 1957 at a higher altitude of Chassagne, protected from the north wind by a stand of trees."
