"The 2021 Barbera d’Alba is a gorgeous, delicate red.  Crushed flowers, sweet red cherry fruit, mint, rose petal and spice are beautifully delineated.  This mid-weight, nuanced Barbera delivers tons of character.  The 2021 spent 11 months in cask prior to bottling.  It’s an absolute gem from La Ca’ Nova." 

Winemaker Notes:

"A beautiful midweight wine with a good deal of aromatic nuance. Sweet tobacco, leather, spice, menthol and dried herbs are all beautifully delineated. Medium in body, with the elevated acidity that is such a signature of the vintage. Specifically, it is the interplay of the freshness of the vintage with the rich expression of fruit that is typical here that makes this wine so satisfying."
