Winemaker Notes: 

"Aromatically the wine lifts with notes of lime, wet rock, and barely ripened tropical fruits. The palate is bright and mineral driven almost to the edge of vibration, with lingering flavors of under ripe kiwis and lime zest.

Weingut Wittmann is celebrate for their dry styled wines from the Rheinhessen, a vast area of rolling hills in the bended knee of the Rhine river, between the Pfalz and the Rheingau. The soils are primarily based on limestone, with a mix of topsoils, including clay, marl and loess. Though the region is known most predominately for Riesling, Wittmann celebrates all the German varieties, and their bottling of dry Silvaner shows a complex structure with a lively acidity and fresh mineral notes in the reverberation."
